Le sujet central de ce film est le coup d’Etat d’avril 2002, qui a vu l’oligarchie du pays, appuyée par le gouvernement américain, tenter de renverser le gouvernement de Chavez. Les putschistes se sont alors heurtés à une mobilisation massive de la population du pays. Les journalistes qui ont tourné ce film ont ramené d’excellentes images de ce soulèvement populaire - y compris de la situation, heure par heure, à l’intérieur du palais présidentiel.
